Television,Meet Interner

If you're ready for Internet-ready TV, you'll need a few things to get started:
* An Internet-Ready TV
* Broadband Internet Service
* A Router
* Cabling
* Wi-Fi Adapter (If Not Built In)
* A PC for Subscriptions/Payments

An Internet-Ready TV
No surprise here. While one can add similar services to their home entertainment system with external devices (video game systems, Roku boxes, DVD/Blu-ray players), these televisions take out the middleman by including an Ethernet port or wireless connection.
Broadband Internet Service
In order to access streaming content, the faster your Internet connection the better. Whether your service is delivered via DSL, cable, satellite, or another means, a high data rate (e.g., broadband access) will be necessary.
A Router
A router connects to the modem provided by your ISP and serves as a post office for network data, distributing information to and from the different machines attached to your network. If you want a wireless connection, you'll need a router with Wi-Fi. This describes the vast majority of routers available nowadays, and many homes will already be equipped with one.
Cabling
If you choose to connect your television wirelessly, then cabling won't be an issue. Many people prefer a hard-wired connection for their media devices, though, and if that's the case you'll of course need an Ethernet cable to connect your Internet-ready television to your router.
Wi-Fi Adapter
Some Internet-ready TV models feature built-in wireless connectivity while others don't. Often, a manufacturer will provide (or offer for purchase) a Wi-Fi adapter that is connected to the television to provide wireless access. If you need wireless access, double-check to see how each model connects.
A PC
Some of the content offered on these televisions is subscription based, or pay per view, and may require a PC with an Internet browser to sign up and enter payment information (setting up a Netflix account, for example).

This will also be handy for support purposes, as manufacturers typically offer FAQs, forums, or other support online.
